: Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) has been identified as the host institution by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) among the AICTE-approved institutions, under the Global Initiative for Academic Networks (GIAN) programme launched by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).  Syed Shakeebur Rahman, Principal of the SJCE, said the institution was one of the three engineering colleges in Karnataka and one among the 50 institutions in India to be selected under the GIAN programme. The main objective of GIAN is to provide opportunity to SJCE faculty and students to seek knowledge and experience from reputed International faculty, he said. The MHRD has launched programme with an aim at tapping the talent pool of scientists and entrepreneurs internationally to encourage their engagement with the institutes of Higher Education in India. –  Courtesy
